The first step to joining the Turning Point program and requesting bariatric surgery is to attend an informational seminar. Turning Point informational seminars are open to anyone who is researching weight loss surgery options. The seminars provide information on the history of obesity, treatment options, surgical procedure review and surgery complications and offer time for questions and answers. A packet of informational tools and required documentation will be provided at the end of the seminar. Potential patients must review bariatric patient information packet instructions as well as complete the questionnaire and insurance information forms and return the completed packet by mail (pre-addressed envelope provided) or in person to the Tallgrass General, Vascular and Bariatric Surgery office, which is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
