David A. Cancelada, MD, FACS

Cancelada

David Cancelada, MD, FACS,  graduated from St. Louis University with honors. He joined Tallgrass after completing 25 years of military service with the U.S. Army. Dr. Cancelada completed his surgical training at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. His professional highlights include being the commander of the first forward surgical team to enter Iraq in 2003 with the 3rd Infantry Division, as well as recently being the commander of a mobile surgical team with Joint Task Force Bravo in Honduras, in support of the recent earthquake in Haiti. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons and board-certified in both general surgery and critical care. His surgical interests include endocrine (parathyroid, adrenal, pancreas), anti-reflux, cancer (breast, colon) and bariatric surgeries.
